Scottish Sea Farms photography Orkney

Scottish Sea Farms are pioneers in the farming of superior quality Scottish salmon, reared with unrivalled husbandry in an arduous and challenging environment. Following on from a shoot on the West coast of Scotland earlier in the year we travelled up to the Orkney Islands to photograph several farms for Scottish Sea Farms. The brief was to create a library of images that showed the beauty of the islands, the challenges of the environments and of course the farmers on their respective sites. A number off the farms are well out to sea and the currents in the water are fast which made for challenging shooting conditions but we came away with a stunning set of pictures that were first reproduced in a publication to mark ten years farming on the islands.
