LNER is the rail company that operates on the East Coast mainline between London and Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness in Scotland. Taking over the franchise in 2018 they introduced new Azuma high speed trains to the network. I was commissioned to create a library of images showing their trains on routes throughout Scotland during the Spring / Summer of 2021. Working around a list of rough locations, I researched online where the best locations would be and at what time of day the lighting would work best – on some routes going North there was only one service a day which added somewhat to the challenge! The images are being used for promotion within LNER and being shared with partners to promote their services in Scotland.
