Counteswells Aberdeen photography

Countesswells is a new community accommodating 7,000 people to the west of Aberdeen city. Together with the construction of 3,000 new private and affordable houses, the new settlement will include two primary and a secondary school. We were commissioned by the agency responsible for marketing this development in it’s early stages. This entailed working to a strict brief capturing key individuals who have worked behind the scenes on the project this far. A series of environmental portraits were taken over a number of days showing the people in the development. Much of this was photographed during the incredibly good summer of 2018 where there was an over abundance of sunlight so the shots required the careful placing of subjects combined with high powered flash. The shoots were mostly undertaken with one lighting assistant, art director and a rep form the development.
